Last week, we opened applications to Small is Beautiful Breakthrough. The competition is supported by Skills Development Scotland and will bring students and graduates to the Small is Beautiful Conference.
We invited students and graduates from art colleges, further education college, and training institutions to apply. All applicants also identified their interest in the creative and cultural world and are thinking of setting up as freelance or starting own enterprise.
Each winner will receive a 2-day ticket to the Small is Beautiful conference and will benefit from access to international speakers, practical tips for own business, inspiration, confidence, and a new network of likeminded people to connect to in the future.
We were inundated with fantastic applications, and awardees have now been notified. The winners include student and graduates from colleges and universities across Scotland, and their expertise include the fine arts, illustration, textiles, glass, various elements of design, music and television.
Everyone at Small is Beautiful and Skills Development Scotland are looking forward to inviting these bright and talented young students and graduates to the conference in Glasgow next week.
